Wembley Striped 30mm Artificial Grass
£23.99 £11.99/m²
Get a freshly mowed look with the Wembley Striped 30mm Artificial Grass, a great quality striped artificial grass.
This grass has a striped look, with alternating lighter and darker stripes to give your grass the appearance that it has been recently mown. The 28mm pile height adds to the young and freshly mown impression and the different shades of green and brown in the pile gives it a realistic appearance. Curled base fibres and soft grass blades create a comfortable feel underfoot, ideal for any garden!
Real turf striped lawns require a lot of work to keep looking their best, this artificial grass makes getting the look almost effort less, with no mowing and virtually no maintenance. Water passes easily through the drainage holes in the latex backing to the surface below and artificial grass can be installed in more place than you think, including concrete, decking, balconies and even roofs.
This grass is made from a cadmium and lead free material, making it pet and child friendly and it produces no pollen so everyone can enjoy it.
When ordering please note that the stripes run down the length of the roll. For a 1m long and 4m wide piece the stripes would run the shorter length. Each stripe is approximately 50cm wide.
Installing artificial grass is a straightforward DIY project for most gardens, patios, and balconies. The key to a long-lasting, natural-looking finish is preparing a solid, well-drained base before the grass is rolled out.
For soil areas, the existing turf is removed and replaced with a compacted sub-base (typically MOT Type 1 or granite dust),followed by a sharp sand or grano dust laying course. This creates a smooth, stable surface that prevents dips and improves drainage. For hard surfaces such as concrete, the grass can usually be fitted directly using adhesive.
Once the base is ready, the grass is rolled out, trimmed to fit, joined where required, and secured around the edges. Brushing the fibres upright and adding kiln-dried sand (if recommended by the manufacturer) helps the pile sit naturally and improves durability.
Most installations are completed in a day for an average garden.

Artificial grass is designed to be low maintenance, but a small amount of regular care will keep it looking its best for years.
For general upkeep, simply remove leaves and debris with a stiff brush or leaf blower and brush the pile against the grain to keep the fibres upright. Occasional rinsing with water will wash away dust and pollen and help the lawn stay fresh.
For homes with pets, solid waste should be removed as normal and the area lightly hosed down. Most modern artificial grasses have a permeable backing, allowing liquids to drain through easily. A mild detergent or artificial grass cleaner can be used for a deeper clean if needed.
To prevent flattening in high-traffic areas, brush the surface periodically. With this basic care, a good quality artificial lawn will maintain its colour and shape for many years.
