Feel the power of durable springback yarn
This grass is made from a blend of straight polyethylene and C-shaped, curled polypropylene micro-nerve fibres. Not only does this combination create an exceptionally durable product, but it also ensures the blades stay upright.
The C-shaped yarns are designed to spring back into shape after heavy bouts of wind, rain, snow, and ice, reducing the risk of flattening. This also means you can enjoy a natural-looking lawn for longer!
If you’re looking for a similar pile depth with more durability, we recommend checking out the London 38mm.
Child-friendly
Designed with all ages in mind, Chelsea 35mm is the perfect addition to any family home. This child-friendly artificial grass is delightfully soft, safe, and durable, ade from lead-free, non-toxic materials.
Plus, it can easily withstand heavy foot traffic from adventurous little ones. Want to add extra protection? Pair your turf with a shock-absorbing underlay to reduce the risk of injuries from bumps, trips, and falls.
Installation
One of the best features of our artificial grass is its easy-to-install nature. By following our step-by-step instructions, you can soon have a luscious lawn — with no need to wait for grass seed to grow!
To help you get the best results, take note of these installation tips:
- Only pair our 5m cuts with other 5m pieces. You’re free to interchange different cuts of 2m and 4m and still achieve a seamless join. But adding 5m widths to the mix will lead to uneven joins.
- We also recommend using a weed membrane to prevent pesky plants from growing through.
- Stock up on all the equipment, fixtures, and accessories you might need to make the job swift and straightforward.
- Make sure you choose the right type of underlay for your garden or outdoor space.
Maintenance
Artificial grass is low-maintenance — after all, all it takes is a brush and a rinse to refresh your lawn.
While we love how easy it is to care for your Chelsea 35mm, there are some actions you can take to ensure it looks, feels (and smells!) its best.
- Remove and dispose of any pet messes as soon as possible to avoid staining and bacteria build-up.
- Try not to put heavy furniture or objects on your lawn to prevent flattening.
- Avoid having any mirrors facing your lawn — this can lead to melting.
- Remove any fallen leaves or debris using a stiff-bristled brush and rake away.
- Rinse any excess dirt away with a hose, paying extra attention to pet or play areas.

Installing artificial grass is a straightforward DIY project for most gardens, patios, and balconies. The key to a long-lasting, natural-looking finish is preparing a solid, well-drained base before the grass is rolled out.
For soil areas, the existing turf is removed and replaced with a compacted sub-base (typically MOT Type 1 or granite dust),followed by a sharp sand or grano dust laying course. This creates a smooth, stable surface that prevents dips and improves drainage. For hard surfaces such as concrete, the grass can usually be fitted directly using adhesive.
Once the base is ready, the grass is rolled out, trimmed to fit, joined where required, and secured around the edges. Brushing the fibres upright and adding kiln-dried sand (if recommended by the manufacturer) helps the pile sit naturally and improves durability.
Most installations are completed in a day for an average garden.

Artificial grass is designed to be low maintenance, but a small amount of regular care will keep it looking its best for years.
For general upkeep, simply remove leaves and debris with a stiff brush or leaf blower and brush the pile against the grain to keep the fibres upright. Occasional rinsing with water will wash away dust and pollen and help the lawn stay fresh.
For homes with pets, solid waste should be removed as normal and the area lightly hosed down. Most modern artificial grasses have a permeable backing, allowing liquids to drain through easily. A mild detergent or artificial grass cleaner can be used for a deeper clean if needed.
To prevent flattening in high-traffic areas, brush the surface periodically. With this basic care, a good quality artificial lawn will maintain its colour and shape for many years.
